Dana Farmer is a Memphis-based contemporary textile-knit artist. She crafts bespoke knit garments using all-natural fibers and kettle dyed merino wool yarns. Incorporating colorful French ribbons, recycled saris, and antique buttons, Dana's works are highly influenced by her travels around the world.
Dana learned to knit at a young age from her mother and grandmother. After countless trips to Puddin's Yarn Shop in East Memphis, what was once a form of drudgery became a unique form of expression for Dana. Through her body of work, Dana has always sought to bring color and life, energy, and surprise to her designs.
