Photography has been my creative joy for some 45 years, beginning in 1966 when I saw the movie “Blow Up,” which depicted the fictional and fascinating life of a London based fashion photographer who unwittingly becomes embroiled in a murder!

Although I saw myself as a budding fashion photographer (like David Bailey, Terence Donovan or Brian Duffy), I soon realized that my niche was “scapes” (land, water, city). I also consider myself a social documentarian, particularly retracing and capturing modern day images of areas associated with the struggle for civil rights. Recently I’ve been experimenting with abstract images using oil, water and reflective materials.

I look for compositions that captivate—that cause “goose bumps.” I love natural light and am inspired by vibrant colors, shapes, lines and texture.
